Good location. The room is quite humid and has only the basics. Host was nice but we never met them. Payment only cash a bit hard to organize since host wasn’t there at arrival nor departure. All in all a decent stay if you’re looking for the minimum and just want to be outside discovering the city.

Arianna's place is perfect for a stay in Bologna. The location is really great. It's literally a 5-minute walk to the bus station but it's also very central. To be honest, I barely used public transportation because it is always convenient to just walk but when I needed to, it was right there. There are lots of restaurants and life around but in the place itself, it's completely quiet. Arriana's place is very clean and comfortable and has everything you could need. The owner, she is very kind and very helpful, the rooms are located inside a small internal courtyard and are welcoming and quiet. Excellent quality/price ratio. I would 100% recommend a stay here.

I stayed two times at this charming hidden place as I took a bike ride down to Tuscany. It is an ideal place in the center of Bologna also to store your bike within the small internal courtyard. The check-in was perfect with the help of the phone. I can really recommend this B&B.

Simple bed and breakfast in the heart of Bologna. I had a ground floor room overlooking the inner courtyard. Ideal for me as a cycling traveler. Quite shady in the inner courtyard. In summer, it will surely be very pleasant. Very friendly and accommodating owner. Checking in late was not a problem.

The accommodation was very old and the grout in the bathroom was already moldy. The bed cover was dirty, don't even get me started on the floor. The only positive aspect was the location, being very central. For the money spent, one would have definitely expected more.

The price is economical compared to other structures, especially for its location. If I had to return to Bologna, I would definitely call Mrs. Arianna. Highly recommended.

I stayed at the 'Affittacamere Borgonuovo' to assist my husband who underwent surgery at a nearby hospital. I had a great experience. Excellent location, kind host, and affordable prices. I recommend.

The manager, a lady, was very kind and helpful, even on the price. Unfortunately, the structure, although clean, is dilapidated and abandoned, the walls show dampness, old furniture, and a lot of unnecessary furniture. I couldn't use the coffee machine because there were no pods, the towels were clean but already worn out. The entrance is not comfortable.

Not recommended. Bathroom full of mold, the air unbreathable due to humidity. For the price paid, not even the bathroom courtesy set. Old furniture, sheets, blankets, towels the same. Never again in this structure.

The B&B Affittacamere Borgonuovo is a simple and practical solution to stay in the center of Bologna. It is easily reachable on foot from the station and very convenient for the area. It is located near an area with restaurants, supermarkets, and bars; however, the apartment is in a quiet area.

Mrs. Arianna was kind and helpful. The structure is located in the historic center and on the ground floor. There were many positive aspects. Unfortunately, the double bed was uncomfortable as it was made up of two single mattresses. Additionally, there were ants above the bed and a closed door that divided another room, from which everything could be heard; it felt like we were all together. The duvet was stained and the towels were old, stained, and all different. I cannot recommend this structure.

The 1883 building in the center of Bologna in the historic city center, close to the towers and the Galleria Cavour shopping center. Wide choice of restaurants, piadinerie, and snack bars nearby. The structure is well organized, Arianna is very kind, helpful, courteous, and always reachable by phone and/or via WhatsApp. Check-in is also possible until 9pm/10pm, just arrange it with Mrs. Arianna. From the train station, take bus 30, get off at Via Farini and in 10 minutes walk you arrive at Via Borgonuovo 9. From Piazza Minghetti, you return to Bologna Centrale station. If you need to reach the Rizzoli Orthopedic Institute (as in my case), for the outbound journey you can always take bus 30 from Piazza Minghetti and get off at the IOR square. For the return, you always take bus 30 from the IOR square and get off at Via Farini. The daily room rate is excellent. The rooms are vintage but clean, comfortable, and quiet, located in the palace courtyard. It is advisable to book in advance due to the highly requested location of the structure. PAM and COOP shops are close to Via Borgonuovo 9. I highly recommend the structure for its location, the hospitality of Mrs. Arianna, and the tranquility of the place. An "island" of peace in the heart of Bologna. I will certainly return.

I stayed at this property and really appreciated the setting. Excellent location as it is right in the city center, but inside an ancient building where one can immerse themselves in a pure relaxation atmosphere. Simple yet clean rooms. Silence and tranquility. Very helpful host. Prices are very reasonable compared to similar structures in the city.

Very dated apartment, the bathroom was dirty and still to be cleaned. The other spaces clean, but not perfectly. The price is high for the type of structure. Only positive aspect: the location.

Very easy to reach from the station, even on foot with a nice walk, the room is in the very center of the city yet in a quiet and peaceful setting. The garden provides a cool and welcoming room. Arianna was a kind and helpful host. I plan to return and definitely recommend it!

Unfortunately, I had to cancel my reservation at the last minute for family reasons, but I thank the courtesy and professionalism of the owner, who despite the inconvenience I caused her, helped me without charging me any penalty.

I have been several times in this establishment, which is very central, and even though you are immersed in the beautiful Bologna you are at the same time in a quiet area. The rooms that have been assigned to me each time have always been clean and tidy, with an en-suite bathroom. The window overlooks an inner courtyard, rich in greenery, and the owner has always been very kind and helpful, in fact she even allowed me to check out after the scheduled time once. This is a place that I recommend to everyone for a comfortable visit to Bologna.

Great location near Santo Stefano. Very quiet. Beautiful condominium in a historic building. Rooms with independent entrance. Only flaw pillows, sheets, and blankets of low quality, but comfortable bed.

The room is nice, clean, the bathroom is internal/private. Arianna, the host, was kind and helpful and allowed us good flexibility in leaving our luggage for the necessary time. The first impression was positive. The location is great because it's close to the center, and it's also a quiet area (the distance from the station is about 25 minutes on foot). It wasn't necessary to pay before arrival. Immediate responses from the host. However, let's move on to the negative points that unfortunately I cannot overlook: - the soundproofing of the rooms, because you can hear every slight noise, even the most embarrassing and private... if you happen to have noisy and careless 'neighboring guests', as well as those who are not very attentive to modesty, you will be very embarrassed and with few hours of sleep; imagine a red light movie, you will only miss the video but you can enjoy the audio... In the room, something you won't see in the photos, there is a locked door that connects to the neighbors' room. The lock of that door seems to have been closed with toilet paper. - The room has a window without a shutter (at least the glass was the type that covers the view) - the room does have the door seen in the photo with 3 working locks from the inside (needs some oil), but also an internal door with a broken handle, fortunately the room is far from the street. - the bathroom has no windows or ventilation points, and if you go to the bathroom with a stomach ache, you will be heard everywhere. Also, the top part of the toilet bowl was partly broken. - I confirm the presence of a bedspread with cigarette burns. - the host had not delivered the key where she had requested, so basically we were in a room where another person might have had access. Positive note on the operation of the hairdryer and TV. Don't miss out on Bologna, a very pleasant city :).

Really great location, just a few steps from a very well-serviced bus line, and between two of the main streets of Bologna, Strada Maggiore and Via Santo Stefano. The rooms are located in the internal courtyard of an ancient building, and therefore overlook a few square meters of greenery, with a small bench, two trees, a few flowers... a lucky feature in the city center. Comfortable, clean room with a queen-size bed, wardrobe, TV, coffee machine available. The small bathroom has a bidet and shower, hairdryer. The owner, Mrs. Arianna, was extremely kind and helpful. The price seemed more than fair to me, especially after staying in other B&Bs in the city center!

Great location but it's the only positive note about the room. The room was really in bad shape. Stained cups, bathroom with hairs, shower and floors really dirty. I know it's a budget guesthouse but even if you pay little, hygiene MUST NOT BE LACKING.

Our stay at the Affittacamere Borgonuovo was unfortunately extremely disappointing and unpleasant. Despite Arianna's courteous hospitality in accommodating us on the timing of key delivery and luggage storage compared to the usual check-in and check-out times, we must necessarily and regretfully report a serious lack of attention to details far from negligible regarding the state of the services. Leaving aside the excessively sober but functional furnishing, what ruined our stay in the room was discovering shortly after taking possession of the accommodation that the bathroom was blocked before it was even used, with water (and more) almost overflowing. At that point, we promptly contacted Arianna to report the problem in case she was not aware of it, but she didn't even bother to respond. Unable to do anything at that point, we left hoping it was just a 'temporary' issue. Upon our return, the situation had not changed, in fact there was a nauseating sewage smell that severely tested our already strained threshold of tolerance; this clearly led us to flee in the early hours of the morning. Clearly, I sent another message to Arianna to inform her that we were leaving the room before the scheduled time, returning to the cause: unusable bathroom. This time we received not only apologies for what had happened but (LISTEN!) also an admission of guilt that she was already aware of the toilet blockage before we arrived, trying spontaneously to remove the blockage with some appropriate product. Now, dear Arianna, I thank you for the infinite care (posthumously suspicious, but evidently with good reason) with which you insisted on us leaving the backpacks well beyond the check-out time, but honesty in admitting that there could have been a drainage issue would have been much more appreciated. Instead, the superficial disregard with which she let such a thing pass into the background trying clumsily to remedy the damage by asking me if she could call me has only worsened the credibility of the service you provided. We paid for a service that was poor in terms of convenience, cleanliness, and comfort; the only positive note was the proximity of the accommodation to the center of Bologna, a condition insufficient to justify such a high price; the rest is completely to be canceled.

Unfortunately, I had the misfortune of staying at this establishment... The only positive thing is the location... I paid 120 euros for one night... The bathroom was completely dirty, the shower was shiny... The towels were old and smelly, same with the blankets... The most annoying thing was hearing the people in the 'room next door' (separated by a plasterboard wall) it felt like they were in the room with us... The man was snoring and unfortunately we couldn't sleep all night... I would like to send you the photos but unfortunately it doesn't allow me...

I felt very good in the space of Affittacamere Borgonuovo, a comfortable and quiet corner in the heart of Bologna, a stone's throw from Strada Maggiore and the basilica of Santo Stefano.

Found it very well, the owner very helpful.

He stayed because I had to attend a yoga convention right on the same street as the Affittacamere Borgonuovo. Both experiences were positive! The location is great because it's very central, the room was warm and comfortable and equipped with everything essential... I really enjoyed my stay and when I return to Bologna, I will definitely stay there again. Congratulations to the owner, a very kind and helpful person, who made the luggage storage available to me until the time of my train departure.

Perfect structure for our stay in the heart of Bologna. Very central, less than ten minutes walk from Piazza Maggiore, equipped with comforts, with en-suite bathroom, shower, hairdryer, always hot water. We were warm in this cold December 8th bridge, and enjoyed beautiful walks through the historic streets of the city, the typical Santa Lucia fair, one hundred and fifty meters from the structure, the beautiful square and the church of Santo Stefano, as well as, of course, the very close Towers and Piazza Maggiore. Great value for money, courtesy and kindness of the host. We will be back!

Excellent in everything, it was a wonder for me both the room and the manager. I recommend everyone to spend at least one weekend.

The rooms require urgent interventions: there are rising damp issues from the ground on the walls and floors, drafts coming from the external doors that cannot be closed until all guests have returned, the separating door between my room and the adjacent one has the handle hole patched with paper, the furnishings and linens are makeshift and neglected: my friend's iron bed collapsed when she sat on it, her shower was missing a door and water was going everywhere, upon arrival I found stained top sheet and pillowcases on my bed, replaced with a sheet with a cigarette hole and pillowcases with bleach stains and various streaks; on the first day I found a rolled sock under a shelf used as a bedside table, which remained there. Payment upon arrival was made to the cleaning lady, no receipt or document registration, we could have been dangerous fugitives and no one would have found us! The owner was never seen, only contact through WhatsApp to report the various inconveniences encountered: the final judgment is on a management that aims only for easy and under-the-table profit, without any attention to the customer.

The stay at the property was very pleasant. We especially appreciated the inner courtyard, ideal for relaxing, but also the spacious wardrobe and comfortable shower turned out to be positive points. The best part is definitely the proximity to the center of Bologna, which can be reached on foot in a few minutes. Furthermore, the owner was absolutely available for everything we needed.

The place is very nice. Arianna is adorable and helps us in every possible way. The location is great because it's right in the center and you can walk anywhere. The only thing I would improve is that in the future it could have air conditioning for the summer.

Structure to be improved, lacking the necessary for washing, at least for the first or only night, it needs to be found. For the moment, the location is truly positive.

Central and convenient for those who need to stay in the central area for tourism or business. Essential but very comfortable and quiet.

I used the structure for only one night and I had a good time. The lady was very helpful and kind. I have confirmed for more overnight stays. Being located in the center, it is easily reachable from the central station (it's about a 25-minute walk but passing through the center is also pleasant for a walk).
